Hard Fought Win.......

Swans 2 Bournemouth Electric 0

In a fiercely contested Dorset Premier League match, the Swans claimed a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Bournemouth Electric, thanks to a solid defensive display and clinical finishing.

Bournemouth Electric came out firing and nearly took the lead in the 6th minute, but Swans goalkeeper Brad Smith pulled off a brilliant save to deny the visitors. Three minutes later, Cody Moore beat his man down the wing, only for his cross to be cleared for a corner.

The breakthrough came in the 10th minute when the resulting corner found Swans captain Stephen Pryor, whose header caused chaos in the box. Amidst a scramble, Ogun Gundogdu poked the ball home from close range to give the Swans a 1-0 lead.

Bournemouth Electric pushed hard for an equaliser, Swans defender Sam Clarke was up for the challenge making a crucial last-ditch tackle. Brad Smith was called into action again in the 40th minute, saving a powerful header from Electric’s Kyle Clements

Just before half-time, Cohen Lee and Cody Moore worked well together, but the move ended with a weak shot, letting Electric off the hook. In stoppage time, Electric continued to press, but Smith was once again up to the challenge, preserving the Swans’ 1-0 lead at the break. H.T. 1-0.

The Swans started the second half brightly and won a penalty in the 48th minute when Cody Moore was brought down in the box, Sam Clarke stepped up but his penalty struck the left hand post square on and Ocean Smith’s follow-up was well saved.

Electric almost equalised four minutes later, with a shot from distance narrowly missing the target. But in the 58th minute, the Swans doubled their lead through captain, Stephen Pryor who unleashed a stunning low strike from the corner of the box, beating the Electric keeper and making it 2-0.

The Swans, now in control, saw Cody Moore, Cohen Lee, and Izac Clarke link up well in the 65th minute, with Lee’s shot going just wide. Moore continued to cause problems for Electric, with a half-chance in the 70th minute after a great ball from Pryor.

Despite some frantic end-to-end action in the final 20 minutes, the Swans’ defence held firm, frustrating Electric, who struggled to create clear-cut chances. In the 80th minute, Moore had a golden opportunity to seal the win, but his chip when put through clear on goal went straight into the goalkeeper’s arms.

Swans Charlie Dyke had a powerful shot from distance which was well save saved in the 85th minute, and the Swans comfortably saw out the game. Last action of the game saw a speculative 40-yard shot from Electric’s centre-half in stoppage time this summed up their frustration, as it sailed harmlessly over.

The Swans’ victory was a testament to their strong defence and clinical finishing, moving them closer to their league ambitions.Cody Moore was a constant threat to the Electric defence all game providing relentless pressure on the opposition back four who really struggled to contain him.
